The recordings of the SUGCON event are now available including the keynote that Jason and I delivered on Friday morning.

Composable DXP is all the rage, but what if you already have a platform installation with years of investment into getting it just how you like? How do you gradually move your architecture over to something that is MACH and headless? Do you need a full rebuild? Do you need Next.js or not? Where does content go now? What are the benefits and downsides?

Pieter Brinkman (@pieterbrink123) and Jason St-Cyr (@StCyrThoughts) take an overview of a few XM and XP scenarios and how you can gradually migrate to a composable architecture, along with some of the advantages and disadvantages of different options.

Sitecore User Group Conference India 2019

Last month we hosted the very successful Sitecore User Group Conference 2019 (SUGCON) in India, this was our second SUGCON India. The event has been very successful in many ways and I want to share my view on the event.

First the number; I’m very happy to share that we had nearly 300 attendees during SUGCON India. During the days we had more than 35 sessions presented.  We had over the 100 attendees across our three workshops; Commerce, SxA and JSS- during the pre-conference workshop day.  We also managed to host a Sitecore certification opportunity for more than 70 developers.

Sitecore Hackathon Interview

The Sitecore Hackathon is an community event organized by Akshay Sura and supported by Sitecore Technical Marketing. The results of the Hackathon 2018 where amazing; 220 participants, from 25 countries, divided into 74 teams, competed over 24 hours to build the most creative Sitecore module that demonstrates their competency in one of four categories: Commerce, SXA, JSS, or xConnect. The results will be announced and celebrated at the Sitecore User Group Conference (SUGCON) in Berlin.

After the announcement of the winners we had a very nice chat with Mark Styles and During the Sitecore User Group Conference 2018 in Berlin I had a very nice chat with Mark Styles and Jean-François L’Heureux (from now on called JF) one of the winners of the Hackathon.
